30 things in New Orleans

Hehe sorry for not updating... Although I guess it doesn't really matter since nobody really reads my blog anyway huh :P
Well well if you haven't read my Swedish blog I'm pretty sure you don't know that I'm no longer at home; I'm in New Orleans! I've been here for soon two weeks and thought I'd do some catch up by telling you 30 things I've donesince I got here. Here they go:
I have...
  1. eaten po-boys, which are a bit like a French bread with roast beef and other good stuff on.
  2. Been to both downtown and uptown New Orleans
  3. been Bourbon street
  4. rode the streetcar
  5. Been to a basket ball game (my first ever!)and of course I supported the New Orleans Hornets, which to everyone's delight won te game!
  6. eaten out, e.g. Bacco which is a really nice restaurant with GOOD FOOD. Jesse and I took the truffle menu :)
  7. bought beignets at Cafe du monde
  8. eaten muffalettas
  9. tried gumbo for the first time
  10. ... as well as andouille, special sausage
  11. celebrated an American Christmas with Jesse's relatives, turkey (which I haven't eaten before), ham, breadpudding (soooo good! first time I tried it), and other exciting and good food.
  12. several times I've had to get to-go-boxes because I've been so full! And I'm not the one waisting good food!
  13. I FINALLY BOUGHT THE LENS i have long yearned for! It is so cool and I'm so excited! Plus it was only a fraction of the Swedish price, yay :) I'll try to post som e pics but I guess it'll take some time ehm...
  14. Went for walks with Lilly!!
  15. tried cheese-in-a-can... Not really my favorite but then I just tried it straight out of the can, perhaps it goes better on burgers... At least it's kinda fun
  16. bought & tried pop-tarts for the first time, yum!!
  17. discovered I couldn't fit my computer's cable to the travel adapter... Aaargh! If I had known I would rather have left my computer back home instead of hauling it around! Easy to be wise afterwards as we say in Sweden :P
  18. had blueberry muffins for breakfast
  19. eaten solid american tenderloin, nice
  20. walked around photographing in City Park
  21. chocolate suffle
  22. drunk coke :P
  23. been to cafes
  24. had the best pizza I ever had at Domenica (wouldn't eat the gnocci which was a disappointment but the pizza I recommend with all my heart :))
  25. I've noticed my accent has become a bit southern!!! It's gonna be interesting to see how far that goes ;) I think I had an American accent before this, but now..! Oh my Gosh :P
  26. had to throw away my fav. pair of socks because they got a hole where the toe s... Oh well guess that'll save me like 14 grams when I pack >.<
  27. watched lots of tv, woho!!
  28. bought sunglasses (usually never use 'em)
  29. got an "american belly" whatever that's supposed to mean... A result of good food I guess. No seriously it's not that bad. I am still skinny enough to get out the door!
  30. Was to a New Orleans Saints football game today! And the tickets we got as a Xmas gift from Jesse's sis was just amazing, I can tell you that the was to watch a game it from a suite. It was so sweet! Food and drinks and even our own bathroom, yay. Unfortunately the Saints lost last minute, but wow it was really cool to see the game anyway. The Superdome was crammed with people and it was really loud.
Well now I think I'll go watch some tv while waiting for Jesse... Or maybe I should upload some more pics? Nah, don't feel for it haha I'm tired! Good night :)

Cutest rabbit ever?

Sockerbit is Swedish and means "Piece of Sugar." Personally I think her name is very suitable, she is sweet as sugar! I love this little honey bunny!

Here is a picture of my brother and Sockerbit. I really like this picture because it feels like there is a story behind it! What do you think?

The lens in my dreams

Yesterday night I looked around for a new lens for my camera... I would really like to have one that lets me come really close, which will be very useful at competitions, especially if I get the opportunity to shoot eventing! I looked around at Olympus' site, and see what I found!

Olympus Zuiko Digital 70-300/4,0-5,6

This lens will let me get twice as close as the one I currently have! And it isn't too pricy either, less than 4000 SEK is all I have to pay! I have money saved, so I think I might buy it before mid-summer or something. Yay, I already long to that day! :D

First blog!

Hi everyone and welcome to my photo blog - in English!
I am a photographer from Sweden and I have been photographing with digital cameras since 2003, before that with my own analogue compact cameras and two of my father's Olympus OM.
Ever since I got my first digital compact camera for Christmas 2004 I've been shooting with Olympus. The camera I now use is the light weight Olympus E-400, it has been mine since summer -07. Lately I also have a new compact camera, Canon IXUS 85 IS which I am really happy with. I mainly use it for filming, or in situations when I don't bring my "real" camera.

My main photo areas are in horse and nature photography.
Well, hopefully I'll get some photos online soon!
